I thought I’d share a 360 overview of the nursery and then go back and break down each part of the room this coming week. So, here she blows! I’ll go back and update all of the links to future posts/projects as I post about them!
When you walk in, to the right is our toy storage and the bookshelves that we put up, along with a couple of nursery prints that I created and a maternity photo. I’ll swap some of this out with some serious BABY PHOTOS soon!
And then we have the faux molding that my mom and I painted on the closet doors.

Home Goods pretty much sponsored this room. Not really, but I wish! I’m in love with the drapes that I happened to get there for only $30 a pair! That’s a steal for 95in length curtains! Above the crib I knew that I wanted to incorporate the quote “Second star to the right and straight on ’til morning” and stars of some sort. I ended up coming up with the idea to hang 3D paper stars from a branch. I’ll share the how-to this week!

My awesome mom sewed the crib skirt and made the amazing chevron quilt! I have more pictures to share of it because I loooove it! The rocker ended up being a steal from Babies R Us! It’s the Babyletto Madison Swivel Glider in Slate and we ended up getting it for 30% off plus free shipping and used gift cards to pay for the remainder.
The cute foot rest/storage bin is another Home Goods score. La-la-love it.
This is the yellow dresser that I painted using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Arles for the living room originally! Remember when I wrote this post where I couldn’t decide if I liked it out there? Well, it turns out that the color didn’t work so much in the living room but worked PERFECTLY for the nursery! Yay! The mirror was originally black but I used some leftover Annie Sloan Pure White paint and distressed it just a bit.
This side of the room still needs a little updating with more pictures and maybe a few more pillows, but there are so many things I love! Like this World Market bench?! We took a chance and bought this when it was 40% off! I’m pretty sure World Market didn’t intend for this dining room banquette bench to be in a nursery, but it is working out wonderfully! When I saw it I just kept envisioning mom, dad, and baby all sitting on it reading books in the future. Plus it is so nice that we can hang out in the nursery and there are plenty of places to sit.
Do you not LOVE this little side table?! My mom found this beauty at… HOME GOODS! Where else? And she got it for only $30. She’s a tricky one, that Donna G.
And of course there’s my cute owl bank and the lamp from Home Goods! After this post about the lamp, I ended up using Annie Sloan chalk paint to just paint over that crazy lamp shade. Yes, I use Annie Sloan chalk paint for everything…
Whew! So there’s she is! I have to say a huge shout out to Reagan, my mom, and my sister for helping me get this nursery all together!
